1.2 Reflection - My Pathway

MY POSSIBLE PATHWAY BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL

*myBlueprint is what you will use in CLC 12 to collect and organize your work into a functioning e-Portfolio. That e-portfolio that you create will provide much of the evidence of your learning over your years of school and will really help you when it comes time to share your Capstone presentation. So make sure to keep it organized and current.

Required:

Select Post-Secondary from navigation menu on left side.
Choose from one of the three choices shown below. Example: Apprenticeship, College & University, Workplace
Make sure to see all your filters by clicking the Filters button. You may wish to filter your search by by province, institution etc.
In the search space type in a career you may be thinking of exploring. For example, Journalism and click. Several results come up for journalism.
The example used is journalism, but you would type in your personal choice.
You may also wish to compare Journalism at Langara College with another choice such as Broadcast and Online Journalism. Click the three dots. Once you click the three dots you can compare journalism to other possibilities within the field of journalism. An example is Broadcast and Online Journalism at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).
Once you have chosen a course of study that interests you, add this to your portfolio.
Check your portfolio to ensure that your choice(s) has been transferred to your portfolio.
Send an online text in the Reflection - My Pathway link to your teacher that you have completed this exercise, and let your teacher know the choice.

Submit Reflection - My Pathway link within this section and upload for grading by your teacher.

Superior in its depth of discussion. Demonstrates an insightful understanding. Support, explicit or implicit, is thoughtful and well-integrated. Despite its clarity, response need not be flawless.	Competent in its discussion of ideas. Response is organized and straightforward, but may miss subtle or complex ideas. Supported by relevant details.	Somewhat adequate in its discussion of ideas. Response may be unclear, incomplete or lack detail. Assertions are often simplistic or unevenly developed. Support is not clearly connected to the central idea	Inadequate - Demonstrates a misreading or significant misunderstanding of the task. REMEMBER THAT THIS ASSIGNMENTS SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN YOUR myBlueprint portfolio. You should create a Capstone Portfolio immediately and start to add assignments and learning goals and achievements to this portfolio to use in grade 12 when you present your Capstone.
