3.3 Cultural Identity
Task:
For this assignment, you will examine how you define your cultural identity and the stereotypes that can be involved. Using Dr. Redbird's poem as a guide, you will write a poem that describes how you describe your cultural identity. Your poem should be 24-40 lines. Consider the differences between a personal identity, a collective identity, and a cultural identity as you read the poem and brainstorm your own responses. Consider how the poem has been developed. How does Redbird construct the poem and how can authors organize their thoughts?
