My Cereal Project Choices

cereal cartoonChoose ONE idea to do:

A)  Make a poster featuring your cereal box. Condense you sales pitch to attract your audience. Also include a summary of your favourite book to entice readers to pick it up.

B) Use your persuasive writing skills to write a paragraph telling people why they should read your favourite book.

C) Do a research project to find out more about how companies research and create products that are aimed at children.

D) Use your box of cereal to inspire you to write a short story that would target children. Have the main character eat your cereal and turn it into an adventure.

E) Take the above short story and make a video of it. It could be represented as a cartoon, series of images, stop motion video, etc. Words to your story can be spoken, written, or a combination of the two.

G) Create an awareness pamphlet for children to understand how they are influenced by persuasive techniques whenever they go to the supermarket. Use what you have learned about the marketing of cereals as examples.

H) Create an old-school “radio” commercial for your cereal. You make a little story for your mascot. Add music and sound effects. Audacity is an audio program you can download for free.
