The Reader Responses give you an opportunity to share ideas, experiences, and opinions about things you've read in the novel. You will respond to what you are reading after each set of chapters. The responses might ask you about things you've read in the novel, about how you are feeling, your opinion, or connections to other texts or situations, about what you would have done, or about predictions you have about what may happen next.

Some responses must be in writing and for some responses, you will have choices for how to present your thoughts.

• a paragraph of any length
• a picture with sentences of explanation
• audio or video recordings (done using vocaroo.com or on your smart phone)

Be sure to download the Reader Responses and Vocabulary for each set of chapters before you start reading those chapters.
