Introduction
When you look at a star, what do you see? The light given off by a star can provide information about its characteristics. Stars can be classified based on their colour, temperature, and absolute magnitude.
Stars seem to remain constant in the night sky, but this is only because their life cycles are so long. By looking at many different stars, astronomers begin to understand the various stages in the life of a star.
