The Canada Food Guide is a general guide for healthy eating. However, Canada is a culturally diverse country where food means different things to people with different cultural backgrounds. Think about how your culture or another culture of interest, celebrates a special occasion with food. Use the links above to help you prepare your meal plan.

    1. What is the occasion?
    2. Why is it special?
    3. How is it celebrated with food?

Based on your culture or another culture of your choice, provide a detailed meal plan for a special occasion, and summarize the importance of the foods chosen and the connection to the your/another culture.
