Go to High School

The purpose of this assignment is to complete the table for Grades 10, 11 and 12.  The grade you are now in determines how you complete the table.  For example if you are in Grade 11, you would have already completed the Grade 10 plan.  As well, perhaps you have also completed a Grade 11 plan.  In this case you must think ahead and then complete a Grade 12 plan.

The plan for Grades 10, 11 and 12 lists required courses (broad headings).  Within these broad headings, you must choose a specific course.  For example, go to the broad heading called English Language Arts and click the +sign.  Make sure you are in the correct Grade.  Several courses appear to make your choice(s).

Step 1 - Click +course (broad heading) and a large number of courses appears.  Not all them are available at your school, so select carefully.  You may wish to make a counsellor's appointment.  Have the Gradplanner available when completing the table.  Refer to the headings Required Courses, and Planning Your Future With Focus Areas.

Step 2 - From the long list of courses under each broad heading, make a choice(s) that is either a graduation requirement or an elective.  Check to see if the courses are available at your school, or by distance.

Step 3 - Each time you choose a course, a screen appears on the right-hand side that gives a course description, prerequisites and course status.  Under course status, slick either Planned, In-Progress or Completed.

Step 4 - Click ADD courses.

NOTE:  Check the Graduation Indicator to ensure you have achieved your 80 credits.  Also check the Gradplanner (At a Glance) that shows the amount of required and elective courses.  You may consider staying an additional year to acquire additional courses while remaining in high school.

Submission:

  1. Make a copy of the Graduation Plan that includes all three grades.
  2. Acquire a letter from your counsellor that you have discussed your plan and it currently matches your plan.  Scan and place in your portfolio.
  3. Send a message to your instructor that you have completed the course plan for three grades.

Your assignment will be marked based on the following rubric.
