Project Explanation

You have drafted, revised, and edited six poems in your Learning Guide:

  • Poetry Writing Task One: A Free Verse Poem
  • Poetry Writing Task Two: Simile and Metaphor Poem
  • Poetry Writing Task Three: Alliteration, Onomatopoeia, and Personification
  • Poetry Writing Task Four: Limerick
  • Poetry Writing Task Six: Quatrain

Now, you will publish them. There are many ways you can publish them - suggestions are on the previous page in this online book.

Your published work needs to include:

  • A Cover/Title Page or Screen:
    • Think of a name for your poetry "book" (or slide show or document or movie or ???).
    • Use nice lettering, neat spacing, and colour.
  • Each Poem Includes::
    • Title
    • Neat and thoughtful presentation
    • Drawing/picture/image (can be found online, cut out from a magazine, hand drawn, your own photography or digital art)

Optional:You may choose to include any of the following (or ideas of your own):

  • About the Author - can be at the beginning or end of your published work.
  • Dedication - usually at the beginning.
  • A blurb on the back cover (if completing by hand) or an "Introduction" if completing digitally.
  • Another poem you were inspired to write.
